The term cardiac (as in the Cardiology) Means related to the heart and comes from the Greek a?d? kardia for the heart.
The vertebrate heart is the principally Composed of the cardiac muscle and Connective tissue. cardiac muscle is an involuntary the striated muscle tissue found only in this organ and responsible 

for the ability of the heart to the pump blood.
The average humans heart beating at 72th beats per minute. will beat approximately 2.5 billion time during an average 66th years lifespan. It was weighs approximately 250th to 300th grams (9 to 11th oz) in females and 300th to 350th grams (11th to 12th oz) in males.2.
